Day 34 - Pasta a la Jordan

Jord made dinner tonight - it was ahhhmazing!

Asparagus, snap peas, carrots, cream cheese, kraft extra virgin olive oil pesto parmasean dressing....and a few other delightful things....it was wonderful!

Enjoy, try not to lick your screen....

Day 33 - The Hunger Games Trilogy

I had never heard of these books until recently when I read an article about how they are being made into movies.  The idea behind them sounded very different, so I was intrigued!  We were housesitting last week, and I was very excited to see that they had the trilogy, so I devoured the first book in a day and a half (I could not put it down!!).  I would have jumped right into book 2, but they took it with them on their vacation (how dare they), so I hunted high and low for it in the library, and saw that there were sooo many requests for it in the queue, that it would be months and months before I got it - major bummer!  Well my sweet husband saw that they had all 3 books at Costco, so he bought them for me as a surprise!  What a guy, eh?! :)

I'm definitely enjoying the books - they are different, so won't be for everyone, but I can see how they will make a very interesting movie!

Day 32 - Yard work!

We're doing a ton of work in the yard to get ready for the big wedding next summer...Luke and I have been recruited, and we're all getting a TON done!  Here's a bit of the most recent projects:

Day 31 - House Improvements

Dad using his tools - something he loves to do! :)  Power washing the old paint off the side of the garage, getting it ready for a fresh new coat.

Day 30 - Baby's 2nd set of photos!

We had my 18/19 week ultrasound on Monday!  It was amazing to see how much the baby has grown in these few short months.  We're extremely excited to eventually hold this little one in our arms :)

Here are a few of the best shots that we were given:

Here's our little wee one!  Nose, mouth, eyes - it's amazing :)
A foot!!  With what appears to be 5 itsy bitsy toes! :)
The baby seemed to like this tummy position, but at least it gives us an awesome view of the spine :)
This is what they call the "alien view" - it's a full frontal of the face - you can see eyes sockets, nostrils and a mouth.  It's pretty crazy looking, but that's our beautiful baby...hard to believe, I know! :)

Day 11 - 29... Okay so I got a little behind....

So I got a wee bit behind with the "Picture A Day" thing....  Here's my one long shot at fixing it and getting us up to date! :)  It's going to be a random mish-mash of days, and there were definitely some days I missed... but it's better than nothing! ;)

VEGAS!
Our awesome hotel room at The Excalibur!
The view of the pool right below our room.

Road Trip Home (Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Vancouver):

The rest of the month:
We stayed in this is the room of windows that overlooked the ocean in the house that we were housesitting at....pretty awesome!
Me and Hobbs....ignore the vivacious topless lady on the right ;)
This was taken more as a reminder for where his name was in the memorial, not so you could see me ;)
Too many names :(
Bendy Em and her volunteers at the Busker's Festival!
Bendy Em inside a box with a fully blown up basketball!!
Luke helping out the Aerial Angels set up their equipment
Luke had to do a strut for the girls :)  He was very good! lol
Becky Hoops!!  She was hilarious :)
Luke helping out Tallulah!  Now SHE was hilarious! :)
Those are indeed Tallulah's shorts on Luke's head ;)

We went for a drive along the Sooke-Port Renfrew-Cowichan Lake-Malahat-Sooke loop - it was gorgeous!
We found this awesome camping spot on Fairy Lake that has lake access practically right from your tent! :)  Sweet!!
