Day 61 - Nikkor 35mm f/1.8.... me likey!

Jordan borrowed his girlfriend Katrina's 35mm f/1.8 lens so we can use it for an upcoming wedding on the weekend.... and I loooooove it!  It's the perfect length, and the resulting photos are lovely :)  Watch out Katrina.... I may accidently "lose" it!!! lol

Day 60 - I bought a stroller!!! AND a car seat!

We've been checking this stroller out for awhile now, and on Wednesday it was on SALE!!!  I saved at least $50 - I am PUMPED!! :)   This particular stroller has actual rubber wheels as opposed to the regular plastic stroller wheels (plus we really wanted a three-wheeler), and we thought that would be perfect because of where we would normally be walking (non-paved trails, etc).  Anyway, this was a great deal, and I am super happy about it :)  I had a heck of a time trying to get the two massive boxes into my semi-small car, but after much manhandling it was a huge success!!  Yay for baby things!!!  ON SALE!!!!

Day 59 - My new favourite job....

One of my jobs got a 3 month old kitten....  enough said.  They are officially my new favourite job!  This kitten was so adorable - I barely got any work done.  Especially because it followed my every move and attacked my Swiffer every chance he could!  I would put it back into my cleaning bucket and then find it later under the dining room table, or in the bathroom, or the kitchen.

Enjoy!!!

Attacking its arch nemesis, the Swiffer Duster!
Fascinated by the toilet brush and the flushing mechanism ;)
d'awwwww!!!!! ;)  I wanted to put him in my purse and take him home ;)

Day 58 - Fog

Jordan came home from work on Monday and pulled me out of the house with my camera and told me we were going down to the pier NOW to catch the amazing fog! :)  It was great actually - we thought we missed a lot of it when we got down there, but as we were walking around it started rolling in once again, and it was pretty awesome!

Day 57 - Where did the backyard go?

Preparing for THE wedding of 2012! :)  All for you Ali and Will ;)

We needed to level the yard, so our neighbour came over with his bobcat and started the process....it's going to be a long process, but it's a start!!

Jake wasn't too bothered by it all....as you can see :)
Oreo, however... NOT impressed!!  He started off barking at the bobcat, and then gave up and only walked around the outskirts of the yard to stay as far away from the monster as possible.  Too funny ;)

Pretty different eh Al?!  And it's supposed to rain tomorrow....I'm thinking of rolling around in the mud with the dogs....should be awesome ;)

Day 56 - Five Years Lucky...

Five years ago I married my very best friend.  He knows me much better than anyone else I can think of.....and he still decided to marry me!  How lucky can I be?!

Unfortunately Luke had to leave the day before our anniversary, but we are very confident that we will be spending #6 together :)

I wanted to share some photos of our beautiful wedding album - many amazing memories! :)

Luke, being the sweetheart that he is, arranged with my Dad to give me flowers on his behalf.  What a guy, eh?!  I thought it was incredibly sweet that he planned something like that :)
And aren't they beautiful?

Just because I love it, and I am reminiscing, I want to share the lyrics of the song we danced to for our first dance - "I Cross My Heart", George Strait.

Our love is unconditional, we knew it from the start.
I see it in your eyes, you can feel it from my heart.
From here on after let's stay the way we are right now,
And share all the love and laughter, that a lifetime will allow.

I cross my heart and promise to
Give all I've got to give to make all your dreams come true.
In all the world you'll never find a love as true as mine.

You will always be the miracle that makes my life compelete,
And as long as there's a breath in me, I'll make yours just as sweet.
As we look into the future, it's as far as we can see,
So let's make each tomorrow be the best that it can be.

I cross my heart and promise to
Give all I've got to give to make all your dreams come true.
In all the world you'll never find a love as true as mine.

And if along the way we find a day it starts to storm,
You've got the promise of my love to keep you warm.
In all the world you'll never find a love as true as mine,
A love as true as mine.

Days 52-55 - 3D Baby photos, Whiffen Spit, Dinner and more...

Yes, I am yet again behind....story of my life.  I am adding almost all of last week in one post then making 2 separate posts for this weekend.  Bear with me ;)

On August 16th we went for our 3D baby ultrasound with 3D Baby Vision in Victoria - super staff, everyone was very friendly and helpful.  Mom and Dad came with Luke and I, and I was so thankful they were there to experience that with us.  Mom, Dad and Luke had all voted "girl", and they were oh so right :)  We are having a beautiful baby girl in just a few months, and we couldn't be more excited!

It's pretty amazing to see the technology that will allow us to see the facial features and amazing details of our little one while she's still in the womb.  Unbelievable :)

Don't mind her head - she most definitely does have a complete skull...it looks like that because the ultrasound tech had to come in at a weird angle to get her full face, etc.
Big yawn!!
Covering part of her face with her hand.... a drama queen already? ;)

Luke and I spent some time at Whiffen Spit on "our bench" (where he proposed).  It was a lovely and relaxing afternoon, and we had to leave far too soon.
I never noticed this great quote on our bench before...very sweet.

A couple misc photos of stuff going on around the house....
Jordan's awesome dinner....nom, nom, nom
Luke enjoying his Au Gratin potato chips ;)

I got some amazing deals on some deliciously adorable girly clothes at Carter's!  Nothing over $4.99, and most of it was 2.99!  Wooooot!!

More soon....

Day 51 - Adventures in watering the garden...with Jake

Mom and Dad were away for the weekend, and we only got about 5 mins of rain on Sunday night, so I wanted to water the gardens before they got too dry.  The front went well (after I moved Jordan's car off the hose :), but it's when I got around to the backyard that the fun began.  Jake, our big goof of a dog, loves the hose, and water in general.... so he made watering just a tad difficult!!

He is definitely entertaining :)

Day 49 & 50 - Happy Early Anniversary to us... (and yes, I missed day 48)

Ever so sadly Luke will have to leave and go back to Colorado the day before our 5th anniversary....boohoo, I know!  We thought this would be the year that we get to celebrate together (we missed last year as well), but sadly we will have to wait until next year.  We decided to celebrate a week early and had a wonderful dinner out at The Keg.  I decided to combine Saturday and Sunday in one post because today I took a photo of the beautiful flowers that Luke bought me last night :)  We had a really nice and relaxing weekend together.   On a side note, Luke felt the baby move for the first time on Saturday!!!  It was super awesome, and I am SO glad that he felt it before he had to go home :)

We make a cute couple if I do say so myself ;)
Love him, he is so sweet :) <3
My beautiful flowers - not pictured is the equally beautiful card - I have the sweetest husband ever :)  Soon we will be together honey!

Happy 5 years to my unbelievable husband - I love you more than I can even say :)
