The Longest Blog Post Ever! **AN UPDATE, finally!**

Oh man, I am SO BEHIND in posting on here!!  It didn't help that my computer cord died on me....but now I have a new one, and a new battery (thanks baby!), so I am back online! :)  I have so many pictures and things to mention, so I am going to try to do one ginormous blog post instead of a bunch of separate ones....so, I hope you're comfy!  Grab a snack and prepare to take a bathroom break.....here we go!

First, a few shots of around the house....life is never boring in the Humphreys household!  We have 6 people in the house....Dad, Mom, Me, David, Alina and Jordan....2 dogs (Jake and Oreo....one of them is slightly mentally handicapped and the other came from Peru), and one old crotchety cat named Tigger.  Life is NOT boring!  It's also epicly busy most days, so that accounts for a lot of my lack of posting.  So here are some shots from around the house and our day to day lives.....

The dog on the left is Jake...he got hit by a car a couple of years ago and since then has been rather slow!  He is so loving and such a sweetheart, and totally and completely loves my Dad especially, but man oh man, he is a but DUHHH sometimes :)  The black dog on the right is Oreo....he came from Peru!  My sister was there with a charity group building a daycare, and she semi-adopted this pathetic little stray puppy. She nursed him back to health and spent a ton of money bringing him back to Canada....and he has never been happier! :)  He's a sweetheart, and he and Jake and BFFs for sure!

Look at those eyes....good grief :)
He is unbelievably tall and gangly!  But so sweet :)
She is such a dork :)  But she's my roomie and I love her!
My family lives in a fairly rural area, so the cell reception leaves a lot to be desired!  I have to lean it up against the window usually in order to get a teensy bit of coverage so I can send and receive texts :)
3D glasses!  Fun at one of our housecleaning jobs :)

Jordan was asked to receive an Olympic display on behalf of his high school, as part of the Leadership program that he's a part of.  The Olympic torch had gone through our small town before the Olympics started, and we had a half dozen or so local people carry the torch on it's journey through Canada.  So this was a little ceremony with a local childrens choir and the T'Sou-ke nation, as well as photographs and video of the torch run, and the local people who carried it brought in their torches that had held the flame.  So Jordan, Alina and I went to this ceremony and got photos taken holding the torch, and watched Jordan accept his little flag display for the school.  A pretty neat time ;)

Jordan and I have been taking the opportunity to go on some photo walks on Saturday afternoons and Sundays...we've been having a great time!  Here are a few shots from our most recent ones....
Bottoms up!!!!

We try to take the dogs out as much as possible....to Whiffen Spit, the Sooke Pier, the potholes, etc....they need to run around as much as possible!  So here are some shots from those outings:

Jordan, Alina and I decided to experiment with the spotlight motion lights that my Dad has set up in our backyard.  Jordan wanted to do some creepy, bizarre, scary photos....so we did!  It's not too scary, don't worry :)
And then there's me and Al :)

Jordan and I went to do a little photo experiment to a foot bridge that goes over the highway downtown....we wanted to take some long exposures of traffic lights and things.....

Wandering around Sooke.....various locations....usually concerning water....and some people shots along the way as well! :)

And now.....a tribute to my ROOMIE Alina :)  My darling sister....who I love dearly!  She so wonderfully shares her room with me now....for an unknown amount of time...and I appreciate it so very very much!  We're great friends, and I am lucky to call her my sister :)  She is crazy and fun and an all around great person, nevermind just plain gorgeous!

And now, for the very best news of all......LUKE GETS HERE IN JUST A COUPLE OF HOURS!!!!!  He had to work today, so his flight is getting in late to Victoria, so I will be picking him up at around midnight.  But he will be here.....after what seems like FOREVER!! :)  I am so excited to see him....more than I can even say!!  So expect lots of photos of us together in the next little while....likely after he's gone home again...I will be wanting to spend all my time with him :)  He's going to be here until April 5th, so it will be bliss for 10 days! :)  Love you sweetheart - can't wait to see you in a couple of hours!!! :) <3

I hope you enjoyed my epicly long blog post.....I highly doubt many people will actually scroll to the end of it, but still....I wanted to post this stuff :)  So it's here if anyone wants to look at it!  Have a wonderful rest of the week everyone!
